SEE NO EVIL - Bristol Street Art - Nelson Street
Although the event was during the summer, the work is still there to appreciate. Well worth a look to see how Nelson Street has changed from boring grey concrete buildings to a vibrant street of inspiration. Well done Bristol City Council.

Back on line
It has been a while since my last blog. An interesting time of quite boring freelance work and looking for lecturing work. The latter has been successfully filled by Southampton Solent University, at which I will be lecturing on the BA Graphic Design course and the BA Advertising course. Today, 3rd October, is my first day, so will update later. I will also start to put up everything I should have put up over the summer.

Clerkenwell Design Week is a three day festival in London’s creative heart. Big design names and thought leaders host an exciting programme of workshops, presentations, exhibitions and debates. The festival will be filled with music, installations, parties and entertainment, truly celebrating design within this cultural hub. In 2010 London’s design community flocked to Clerkenwell over the three days, with 18000 registered and over 150 events, 2011 promises to be even bigger and better!

No to AV ?
Good job we voted against the AV system. Where would we be without the "longest straw" system of voting in our local representatives.

Labour won outright control of Bury Council, Greater Manchester, after the ultimate straw poll in Ramsbottom.
The party was still tied with the Conservatives after three recounts in the ward, and so in accordance with electoral rules the two would-be councillors agreed to draw lots.Labour’s Joanne Columbine drew the longest straw to defeat her Tory rival, Robert Hodkinson. Until that moment they were tied on 1,822 votes each.

What does this mean?
Having seen this piece of information on the pavement in Bath, I find myself asking the question, what does it mean?
Is it a warning to adults and children to beware of flying bikes?
A more serious idea may be telling cyclists to be careful of pedestrians, I am guessing though that the cyclist will not be looking at the pavement, they will be looking out for pedestrians!
